Police continue road safety blitz through long weekend

By Stuart McGinn

As part of Canada Road Safety Week, local police and OPP will continue their week-long traffic blitz through the Victoria Day long weekend.

They're focused on what they're calling the 'Six D's' of bad driving, which are drunk, drugged, drowsy, distracted, dangerously and detached.

By Tuesday, Ottawa Police said they had already seen 6 collisions with injuries to start off the week.

Police are also urging people to contact them if they spot an impaired or distracted driver on the roads.
