The opening of the world's first interprovincial zipline, between Ottawa and Gatineau, has been postponed to next year because of COVID-19.
Interzip Rogers was originally scheduled to open this summer, but has now been bumped back to the spring of 2021.
“Given the current context, it is impossible for us to guarantee a launch and experience that would meet our visitors' expectations,” said Alex Van Dieren, co-president of advertising firm Orkestra, the attraction's partner. “That is why we will open as early as possible in spring 2021.”
Construction work on the zipline was delayed by the pandemic and ensuing safety measures, but is currently scheduled to resume this summer.
