Carleton Lodge long-term care declares COVID-19 outbreak

An update from the city confirms that an employee at Carleton Lodge long-term care home has tested positive for COVID-19.

According to the memo sent out to city council members by Donna Gray, general manager of community and social services, the home has now been placed on a facility-wide outbreak.

The home is located in Barrhaven on Lodge Road near Prince of Wales Drive.

Centre d’accueil Champlain and Garry J. Armstrong homes also continue to remain on outbreak.

This brings the total number of positive staff cases to three and Garry J. Armstrong to two.

There are no resident cases at either of the three homes.
