Arrests made following fentanyl bust in Pembroke

Two people are facing drug trafficking charges after Ontario Provincial Police officers uncovered fentanyl and other drug paraphernalia in Pembroke.
Officers say they investigated an occupied parked vehicle on Boundary Road, on March 2, around 5:30 p.m., finding drugs and arresting two suspects.
Mark Reckzin, 42, of Pembroke, has been charged with:
- Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – fentanyl
- Fail to comply with probation order (two counts)
Alexandra Smith, 24, of Petawawa, has been charged with:
- Failure to comply with undertaking
- Possession of a schedule I substance for the purposes of trafficking – fentanyl
Both accused were held for a bail hearing on March 3, and remain in custody until their next court appearance at the Ontario Court of Justice on March 5.
