Ottawa hospitals to implement mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policies for all workers

Hospitals in Ottawa will follow the provincial guidelines and require staff and volunteers to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Starting this fall The Ottawa Hospital, Queensway Carleton Hospital, Bruyère, and Monfort Hospital will join CHEO in mandating all employees and volunteers to be fully vaccinated.

Hospitals officials have told their staff members everyone must have a first dose by September 7.

Vaccine exclusions do still apply for those with a documented humans rights exemption or a documented medical reason for not getting the shot.

Anyone who works, learns, does research, or volunteers in these hospitals must prove full vaccination status by October 15.
