1 with serious injuries after vehicles crash in south end

One man is fighting for his life in hospital after two vehicles collided on Monday afternoon.

According to Ottawa police, they are looking for witnesses to a crash that happened on Hawthorne Road near Leitrim that resulted in serious injuries. Police said the incident happened just before 3:00 p.m.

Two people were sent to hospital. Ottawa paramedics said that one patient was a woman who was in serious but stable condition.

One man in his 40s remains in critical condition in hospital, a release reads on June 16.

Officials are looking for people to come forward who may have footage of the crash or saw what happened.

Anyone with information is asked to call Ottawa police at 613-236-1222, extension 2345.
