Kingston shooting leaves Ottawa man dead, another in life-threatening condition

A man who was shot and killed in Kingston over the weekend has been identified as a rapper from Ottawa.
Carl-Alen Delphin, 21, who also goes by the name Lito, was killed in a shooting near Highway 401 and Sydenham Road around 7 p.m. on Saturday, October 16.
A 29-year-old man who was with him at the time, also from Ottawa, remains in the intensive care unit (ICU) at Kingston General Hospital (KGH) with life-threatening injuries.
Detectives from the Kingston Police Major Crime Unit say several vehicles were in the area at the time of the incident and are asking witnesses to come forward, especially anyone who might have dash camera video.
Police also believe the incident could be associated to a shooting that happened on Theresa Crescent in Kingston around 8:20 p.m. on Friday, October 15.
No further details on how the two shootings are connected have been released and the police investigation is ongoing.
