Ottawa Public Health (OPH) is recommending not to swim at several beaches across the capital on Monday, Aug. 14.
The health unit said high levels of E.coli bacteria have been found at Mooney’s Bay Beach and Petrie Island East Bay.
Mooney’s Bay Beach had an E.Coli count of 346 while Petrie Island East Bay had a count of 421.
Closures are decided based on water quality at beaches across the capital city, as well as other factors such as rainfall and bird activity
