VIA re-introducing Ottawa to London trips cut during pandemic

By CityNews Ottawa

VIA Rail is re-introducing two round trips between Toronto and Ottawa and one round trip between Toronto and London, Ontario, that were cut during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Ottawa train trips being brought back include round trips to Toronto on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays. Passengers will be able to book tickets on the returning trips over the course of the next week, and the trips will resume in late October.

VIA cut its train service when ridership plunged during the COVID-19 pandemic.
