Police release images of Centretown armed robbery suspect

Ottawa police are asking for help identifying a suspect involved in a commercial robbery last Friday.
The incident took place in the 300 block of Bank Street on Feb. 23, 2024 around 2:30 p.m.
Police say in a release that the suspect entered the store, went to the back and struck up a conversation with a staff member.
He showed a large knife and took products from behind the counter. He then fled the store on foot.
Police describe the suspect as the following:
- Black male
- 18 to 20 years of age
- 5’6″ to 5’7″ tall
At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a black winter coat, black hoodie, black pants and a black backpack.
