Lennox and Addington OPP charge Ottawa man in stolen vehicle investigation

A man from Ottawa is facing charges after provincial police recovered a stolen vehicle between Belleville and Napanee.
Officers of the Lennox and Addington (L&A) County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to reports of a stolen vehicle from York Regional Police around 7 a.m. on Monday, Apr. 22.
Police located the stolen vehicle being driven eastbound on Highway 401 at Marysville Road.
Officers confirmed it was the stolen vehicle and made an attempt to stop the driver.
The driver refused to stop for police and a spike belt had to be used to safely bring the vehicle to a stop just past the Old Wilton Road overpass.
Brandon Farrow-Loiselle, 31, of Ottawa, was arrested without incident and faces the following charges:
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5000
- Operation while prohibited
The accused was held for a bail hearing.
