Cyclist dies from injuries after being found near Bridlewood

Police are asking for the public’s help to understand what led to the death of a cyclist near Bridlewood.

According to a press release, on Sept. 26, police were called to the area of Old Richmond Road and Hope Side Road around 5:15 p.m. The area is on the edge of Kanata South and Richmond.

A man in his 50s was found in serious condition under unknown circumstances. Officials said on Oct. 1 he succumbed to his injuries.

Investigators would like to speak with anyone who saw a cyclist in the area between 4:45 pm and 5:15 pm, and may have dash or door cam footage and has not yet spoken to police.
