School bus carrying students collided with a pedestrian in Pembroke

A large police presence in Pembroke is due to a crash between a pedestrian and a school bus.

It happened Tuesday just after 3:00 p.m. at the intersection of Carmody Street and Everett Street.

Officers from the Upper Ottawa Valley detachment noted that the bus driver and student passengers were not injured. The pedestrian was sent to hospital with serious injuries.

Everett Street is currently closed between Somerset Street and Eganville Road for the investigation.
