Perth hotel the scene of arrest of 21-year-old

Ontario Provincial Police were called to a hotel in Perth at around 3:30 a.m. on Sunday.

Officials said they arrested a 21-year-old man who was charged with forcible confinement and resist a peace officer. Police said this was in relation to an intimate partner violence case they were investigating.

The accused was released from custody and is schedule to appear in court by the end of the month.

Officers said the name of the man will not be released to protect the victim’s identity.
