OPP investigate home invasion involving bear spray

Renfrew OPP is investigating a home invasion that occurred at a local inn on Sunday.

Shortly after 9 p.m., officers received reports of two male suspects entering a room and allegedly assaulting occupants with what was believed to be bear spray. Officers say the suspects took property from the room before fleeing the location.

OPP officers were joined by members of the Emergency Response Team and canine unit to assist in the search for the suspects.

The investigation is ongoing and the suspects remain at large.

Investigators say they believe the incident was targeted.
