Trudeau target of April Fool’s day prank

Liberal candidate Justin Trudeau wants everyone to know that his campaign message is still OK for the whole family.
Trudeau got a bit of a rude awakening on April Fool’s Day when he learned word was spreading that a website address on his campaign posters had a typo that would lead people to an adult website.
The prank originated with Montreal blogger Steve Faguy’s Fagstein site, which included several outlandish news stories for April Fool’s Day besides the one on Trudeau.
He’d written that a Liberal staffer had accidentally typed in “luberal.ca” as the party’s website instead of “liberal.ca” and was sending people to a site “encouraging the liberal use of lube” in sexual encounters.
He said later that Trudeau was aware of the hoax by the time he began posting his tweets.
At least two Montreal news organizations picked up news of the false link.
