Wednesday. The Ontario election campaign is officially underway.

12:08 - "Diesel before COVID i was paying  cents a litre, now I'm paying a dollar-eighty five, so that's more than one hundred per cent up...the price of fertilizer last year I paid an average of $700 a ton, this year I had to pay $1,400 a ton average and I had to pay for it up front."

Rob speaks with local farmer Peter Ruiter about how inflation and the war in Ukraine is impacting the local agriculture industry.

23:50 - "Doug Ford is much more a pragmatist and populist than he is an ideological conservative, so a lot of that traditional line of criticism was quickly dispelled when it was levelled against Ford."

13:38 - "This is an absolutely critical election, we believe that we need to invest in publicly funded education. What we have seen over the last four years with this current government is that they have not prioritized publicly funded education."

19:58 - "We desperately need Bill 124 to end, and there is still a year to go. We need it to end now so we can retain people in the workplaces."

RNAO CEO Doris Grinspun joins the show to discuss what priorities that union has for the next Ontario government in terms of funding healthcare and staffing hospitals.
