Fire in Old Ottawa East under investigation

By Jenn Pritchard

Ottawa Fire Service crews were called to a home in Old Ottawa East after flames and thick black smoke were spotted.

When they arrived to the two-storey semi detached home on Concord Street, Tuesday morning, a working fire was declared.

It took just over an hour to get the flames under control.

Hydro Ottawa, Enbridge and Ottawa Paramedics were called in to help manage the incident.

An Ottawa Fire investigator has been called in to find the cause of the blaze.
