Four dogs killed in Nepean fire

Crews arrived on the scene of a house fire in Nepean, just after 2 p.m. on Sunday afternoon.
Firefighers were called to the home at 1757 Woodroffe Ave., after receiving a number of 911 calls about heavy smoke.
Two people have been displaced by the fire, and four dogs died.
The fire was under control about an hour later, at 3:07 p.m.
The Canadian Red Cross and the Salvation Army are assisting those affected by this incident.
Damage to the home is estimated at $250,000.
Ottawa Fire continues to investigate the cause of the blaze.
