The Killaloe Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Police has laid impaired driving charges against a 37-year-old resident of the North Algona Wilberforce Township.
On Feb. 25, just after 6:30 p.m., OPP officers conducted a traffic stop on a passenger car on 60 Highway in the Township of North Algona Wilberforce.
As a result of the investigation, John Fulford was arrested and charged with the following offences:
- Impaired operation of a motor vehicle; and,
- Operating a motor vehicle while having over 80 mgs of alcohol per 100 ml of blood.
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on April 12 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Killaloe. His driver's licence was seized and suspended for 90 days, and the vehicle towed and impounded.
