Ottawa Redblack Greg Ellingson charged with failing to provide a breath sample

The Ottawa REDBLACKS released a statement that wide receiver Greg Ellingson was charged with failing to provide a breath sample Friday morning.

Ellingson will not participate in team activities until further notice.

Ottawa Police have confirmed the arrest happened at 2:37 a.m Friday, November 30th in the Kirkwood Ave. and Carling Road area.

The arrest was initiated during a R.I.D.E. program.

The Ottawa Sports and Entertainment Group and the REDBLACKS said they are looking into the incident.

The 29-year-old is coming off his 4th straight 1000-yard season.
