Scorcher starts off the work week

OTTAWA  –  A gorgeous weekend is now being capped with a scorching start to the work week.    

1310 meteorologist Jill Taylor said it will be hot, hazy and humid.  The forecast calling for a UV index of 9 and a high of 32C. It will feel more like 37C with the humidity.

“Its really important to stay hydrated and drink lots of fluids,” said 1310News meteorologist Jill Taylor.  “Of course, never leave children or pets in your vehicle when we have this kind of heat and humidity. A car in one hour can warm up to about 51 degrees.”

Things will cool down Tuesday.  The weather network is calling for rain and a high of 20C.
