Two men charged after stabbing in Carlington

Two Ottawa men in their 20s are facing assault-related charges after a fight on Lepage Avenue in Carlington.

Police responded to the area, just west of Merivale Road, on Wednesday around 2:50 p.m., after a man had called 911, saying he'd been stabbed.

Paramedics say that man was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Officer were able to track down the suspect and arrest him, but he had also suffered injuries and was taken to hospital after being assessed by paramedics.

Aaron Lapointe, 22, has been charged with:

  • Assault with a weapon
  • Possession of a dangerous weapon

He was released on a promise to appear in court at a later date.

Kurtis Clouthier, 28, has been charged with:

  • Assault CBH

He was released on a promise to appear in court at a later date.
