Bancroft resident facing multiple charges in child sexual exploitation investigation

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Child Sexual Exploitation Unit (CSEU) have laid charges against a Bancroft resident as part of an ongoing child sexual exploitation investigation.

According to the OPP, Samuel Robbins, 28, was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code charges: 

  • Seven counts of sexual assault
  • Three counts, making child pornography, contrary to section 163.1(2) 
  • Six counts of invitation to sexual touching, contrary to section 152 
  • Six counts of sexual exploitation, contrary to section 153 (1)(a) 
  • Six counts of sexual Interference, contrary to section 151
  • Distribution of child pornography, contrary to section 163.1(3)
  • Breach of a 161 court order, contrary to section 161(4).

He has been in custody since his initial arrest date on Aug. 16, 2022.
