Lanark OPP seeking two suspects in Carleton Place commercial robbery

The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is asking for help with an ongoing robbery investigation in Carleton Place.
Officers responded to reports of a theft in progress at a department store on McNeely Avenue at 6 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 30.
Police say two men had smashed a display case in the electronics department and removed multiple devices. The suspects left the scene in a mini-van, and while an officer spotted the vehicle leaving the scene, the driver refused to stop.
The officer did not initiate a pursuit for safety reasons, due to traffic in the area.
The suspects are described as:
- Male
- 22-27 years of age
- 5’10 (178 cm)
- Both men wore black medical masks and blue gloves
- The first suspect was wearing a white hoodie and black pants
- The second suspect was wearing a green/greyish sweater and black pants
The vehicle is described as a white Honda Odyssey with Ontario licence plate DAJM 655, which had been reported as missing from another vehicle.
