Ottawa Senators fan caught stunt driving on the way to the game

One Sens fan was likely disappointed in last night’s loss on top of facing a stunt driving charge.

Ontario Provincial Police said the fan was racing to catch the game against the Philadelphia Flyers last night on Highway 417. However, they had to hitch a ride to the game with a tow truck.

Police said they stopped the driver going 159 km/h. They received a roadside suspension for 30 days and a 14-day vehicle impound, leaving them without a vehicle.

The driver also faces a $2,000 fine, six demerit points and a one-year driving prohibition, if convicted.

(And to top it off the Sens fell to the Flyers 5-4 in overtime.)
