Almost 400 charges laid in multi-city convenience store break-ins

Three people are facing hundreds of charges in connection with several convenience store break-ins across eastern Ontario.

Provincial police said that three suspects broke into 20 commercial businesses after the store closed for the night between July and September. Incidents happened in Ottawa, Kingston, Brockville, Cornwall and Leeds, Grenville, Russell, Lennox and Addington, and Quinte West counties.

In a press release, officials said the culprits forced their way inside and then stole cigarettes, lottery tickets and cash.
