Ottawa police asking for public’s help to track down stolen water heaters from Orléans explosion

The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) is asking the public to help track down two tankless water heaters stolen from the Orléans explosion in February.

Police said in a release, that the water heaters were stolen from homes under construction on Blossom Pass Terrace. OPS is concerned that the water heaters may have been damaged and may not be functioning properly, and may cause a danger to occupants where the water heaters are installed. 

One man was charged in connection to the explosion. 

Police have released the serial numbers of the two stolen heaters, which were both made by Rinnai:

  • 21PE.BA-095999
  • 21PE.BA-096017

Police said they will not be pursuing criminal charges for anyone who may think they have them.
