Ice Cube bringing ‘Straight into Canada’ tour to Ottawa in May

A hip hop icon is coming to the nation’s capital this spring.

Straight off of the sold out first leg of his ‘Straight Into Canada’ tour, Ice Cube will play at TD Place Arena on Saturday, May 4, with supporting acts Xzibit and Peter Jackson.

Tickets for the second leg of the tour go on-sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 23, with an exclusive presale from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Thursday, Feb 22 using the code CUBE.

“As a triple threat, having garnered prestigious accolades such as the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, the Hollywood Walk of Fame and the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame, Ice Cube transcends the boundaries of music, cinema and sports establishing himself as a legend in the world of entertainment,” said a press release.

Ice Cube Initially rose to prominence with the hip hop supergroup N.W.A., along with Dr. Dre, Eazy-E and Arabian Prince. In his solo career, Ice Cube as sold over 10 million albums, with hit songs including ‘It Was a Good Day,” “You Can Do It,” and “Check Yo Self.”

Ice Cube has also had an active film career with over 40 film appearances, including roles in Boyz n the Hood (1991) and the comedy film Friday (1995), which he co-wrote and starred in.

He was an executive producer of the 2015 biopic Straight Outta Compton.
