No injuries reported at fire scene on Russell Road

Ottawa firefighters evacuated one person after responding to a 911 call about smoke and flames coming from a unit in a building on Russell Road, between St. Laurent Boulevard and Walkley Road on May 8.
When crews arrived at the scene, heavy smoke and high heat were reported, and firefighters declared the incident a working fire.
The third-floor fire was quickly knocked knocked down and brought under control, and no injuries were reported.
One occupant was safely evacuated from the unit.
An investigator is dispatched to the scene to determine the cause of the fire.
